Synopsis
The 17th Emperor is a woman, and she only has her throne because the Duke of Roark helped her get there — he backed her over her brothers when it mattered. In public she's treated with full imperial respect, but behind closed doors she and the duke have something going on, a private arrangement she keeps well hidden. Around him she drops the emperor act entirely. Then one night he comes into her chambers without being asked. She tells him no. He doesn't listen. He wants her and he makes that clear, takes what he wants regardless of her objections.…
