Synopsis
Everyone said the Awakened were the Gate's chosen ones.
Those who stepped through without Awakening didn't get blessed. They got cursed. Turned into monsters.
That's exactly what happened to me.
I went into the First Gate to protect my family. Came out as something I wasn't before.
So since I couldn't enter the Gate myself anymore, I raised children who could. Hunters, trained up from young, all pointed toward the Final Gate.
