Synopsis
In the tribe, Changxia was considered strange: she hoarded wild vegetables, refused meat, and seemed unlikely to survive. After coming of age, she picked up a sickly man and married him. Using her hoarded plants, she cultivated fields that fed the entire tribe. She built houses and roads, freed her people from cold and hardship, and conquered the prehistoric continent with her cooking. Only at the end did the tribe discover that the sickly man beside her had once been their most powerful warrior — and that Changxia had always been the most formidable one.
