Synopsis
Out in the remote mountains of the northeast sits a small Buddhist temple called One Finger Temple. Nothing fancy about it, but the place works miracles. The temple grows rice with a smell that makes your mouth water. The temple has water so clean and sweet it puts nectar to shame. The temple has Buddhas that answer prayers from people who truly believe. It's cramped but complete. It's cramped but the incense smoke rises thicker than anywhere else. It's cramped but pilgrims queue through the night—locals and travelers both, waiting for their turn. And there's this monk at the temple.…
