Synopsis
Jiang Ning had blood on her hands. She'd expected hell when she died. Instead, her soul crossed into another world, where a gentle, capable scholar found her and brought her home. He could write, paint, style hair, sew clothes, and tell her with complete sincerity: "Jiang Ning, this isn't who you're meant to be." Liu Ming'an, for his part, had lived alone so long he'd stopped expecting it to change — until he impulsively brought home a battered young woman who could cook, earn money, catch thieves, fight, and promise him solemnly: "Liu Ming'an, I will protect you!"
