Synopsis
Arnoud, court magician of Valkus's eastern reaches, spent years grinding through monster hunts and border defense work. None of it mattered to the Desant Kingdom. He was one of the Seven Sages — the kingdom's finest mages — and they decided he wasn't pulling his weight. So they exiled him. He and his subordinates, who got dragged down along with him, cross into the neighboring country of Rimbule to start over as adventurers. Turns out Arnoud is considerably more well-known there than he ever was back home. Back in Desant, the absence he left behind is already making itself felt.…
