Synopsis
As a concubine-born daughter, I'd always had my legitimate older sister looking out for me.
In my last life, she ended up with the Prince Regent—aloof, untouchable, broken in ways that mattered. She wasted away in that cold palace, her heart giving out before anything else could.
I married a celebrated scholar who came from nothing. He found me common and shallow. I found him insufferable and boring. We made each other miserable for years.
Then we both came back.
My sister found me one afternoon and said, "Should we try the other way?"
I said yes immediately.
