Synopsis
Lyle Walt grew up expecting to inherit his family's lands — a straightforward future for a noble heir. Then, around age ten, his parents started drifting away from him, their attention shifting almost entirely to his younger sister, Celes. By his fifteenth birthday, that drift had become a wall. Celes challenged him to a duel over the inheritance, and Lyle lost badly, getting thrown out of the family altogether. The groundskeeper patched him up afterward and handed over a Gem — a family heirloom Lyle's grandfather had apparently left with him for safekeeping.
