Synopsis
Elsa was 28, a historiography lecturer at the university, and the daughter of Duke Lombardini. She'd missed the window for marriage, but she wasn't bothered — she had her work, and that was enough. Then Luca showed up and complicated things. Duke Inglacia, also 28, also technically her friend, walked in with a strange proposal: pretend to be a couple. Elsa agreed, mostly because he dangled research funding in front of her. The arrangement seemed straightforward. It was not. Luca turned out to be considerably less useful than advertised.
