Synopsis
Henry Morris, an 8th-Circle Mage, is standing on the execution platform. After the emperor — his friend — died, the man's son ended up a puppet in the hands of the nobles. A purge followed, with Henry squarely in the crosshairs of the opposing faction. Even with death right in front of him, the only thing on his mind is how much he despises the new emperor and those nobles.
