Mitsuka Souji is a regular high school student with one not-so-regular obsession: twintails. Then Twoearle shows up — a beautiful, mysterious girl from another world — and right behind her come the monsters.

These creatures feed on Elemera, the power drawn from human spirit. Twoearle hands Souji the Daydream Armor "Tailgear," fueled by his sheer passion for twintails — and he transforms into a twintail warrior girl, TailRed.
