Synopsis
Evelyn, a noblewoman with no money to her name, and Islay, the only duke in the Empire. It was never going to work, so she never told him.
"I'm carrying your child."
Then his grandmother showed up.
"10,000 derk. Take it and disappear."
But she had a child to think about now.
"100,000 derk."
"Excuse me?"
"Anything less than that and I'm not walking away."
So she left the capital and didn't look back.
Seven years went by.
