Synopsis
Cast out from her sect, Yan Hui takes on a bounty hunt to keep herself fed. She tracks down the snake demon—and gets slashed for her trouble. The demon escapes, leaving her stranded in a backwater mountain village while her cultivation mends. Stuck there, she keeps noticing things that don't add up. There's a boy around the village who's clearly not what he pretends to be. There's a woman in white whose purpose no one will explain. Small oddities that pile up. It turns out Yan Hui's landed in the middle of something worse than a failed hunt. Evidence starts…
