Synopsis
Back in the Republic Era, Changsha was watched over by nine powerful clans, together called the "Old Nine Gates" (or the "Mystic Nine"). These families held tight control over just about everything in the city.
Then in 1933, a strange train rolled into Changsha station. Zhang Qishan, who sat at the head of the Nine Gates and also served as the army commander at the station, began looking into it alongside Qi Tiezui. What they turned up was a deeply suspicious mine sitting just outside the city.
