Synopsis
Liu Shu, Jiangnan's most celebrated idler, had one policy about his upcoming engagement to the second son of the Shen family: he would not attend it. He fled. Bandits attacked. Disheveled and desperate, he knocked on a farmhouse door, and a man in plain linen clothing opened it — and Liu Shu's heart did something alarming. He stayed. He worked the fields and hauled water and wove cloth to impress this man, despite zero aptitude for any of it. Things somehow got richer.
