Synopsis
Lin Qiao transmigrated into a period novel she'd only ever heard about secondhand from a friend — she hadn't even bothered to remember the male lead's name. As the cannon fodder female supporting character, the setup was simple enough: the male lead marries her to get permission to go into business locally, trading away his marital freedom for career freedom. Once he makes it big, she turns herself into someone nobody can stand, and the whole thing ends in a clean, ugly divorce. Lin Qiao thought — this is actually perfect? She'd have food, she'd have drink, no marital duties…
